Male model portfolio for Ivan, Kiev

We started shooting a portfolio by creating male snaps and tests, which went into a collage of camera angles. This is a standard photograph taken against a solid background, without retouching. Further, the rest of the time we devoted to shooting in different images in order to create models of artistic shots, which will show the potential of his work. We decided to make the image in the dark, the image in the light and the image where the torso of the model will be visible, since this is important for potential customers. The entire shooting was allocated 2 hours. The package also included make-up and styling from the stylist, which were applied after practicing snaps and tests.

On the day of shooting, at the appointed time, a model arrived at the studio, taking with her things from her own wardrobe. At the planning stage, we agreed on the colors and types of things in order to achieve the necessary shades in the frame. We made men's snaps in the first 20 minutes of the photo session, on the cyclorama, which was in the shooting room. Next, we moved on to the tests and the art part. During the shooting, I tried to highlight the potential of the model in such shootings as lookbooks, catalogs and image projects for clothing brands. The shooting took place on a Sony A7R2 camera + Sony 24-70 f /2.8 lens. As a result, in 2 hours we were able to create a modeling portfolio, which Ivan then used at his own discretion. And a few words from the observation, after 2 weeks, backstages appeared on the model's instagram from his first commercial shoot as a model.
